What do you do when a three year old is already figuring out your parenting tricks? This is an actual conversation Brendan and I had in the store the other day.
Brendan: Mommy, look at that.
Mommy: Mmmhmm.
Brendan: Mommy, I have to tell you something important that I hate.
Mommy: Mmmhmm.
Brendan: I hate it when you say "mmmhmm" when I am talking at you. That means you are not listening to me.

**LOL** that is hilarious!!!! i do that too. i also found myself with the girls tonight on the playground at the ball field because somehow the girls kept asking and i wasn't paying attention but kept saying "yeah, um, sure, give me a minute" SIGH...
not that it was a big thing but i was not in the mood for the playground and ended up there because of my sort of "hmmmmmmms" LOL!!!!
